Namaste!

Watch this 1 1/2 minute clip 1st:

The evolution of the sovereign states of Europe over the last 500 years. Many paths to citizenship of the E.U.
Map just tickled my fancy as it reminded me of more angles of 'confirmation bias' which I have had multiple synchronicities with of late...oh the bias's we love to be blind to! We should look close @ our bias's, cause they are a simple tool to direct awakening.

The evolution of bias can be winnowed down to any imbalance between likes & dislikes, largely 'unexamined' by the intellect, but sloted into place by either/both of the reptilian brain stem that controls our instincts & the mammalian limbic/emotional, middle brain structures.

The intellect in the neo-cortex has little access to the mid & lower brain structures on a direct rational self inquiry basis, @ least not in 'real time' situations that demand answers asap. However we can access these mid/lower regions by bringing mindful, loving, awareness to the emotional & bodily reactions that are caused by various stimuli, both of in & exterior varieties...dislikes & likes, costs & benefits, a movable feast continuim of desire/aversion that can swing wildly between the poles of bias...& acceptance.

The whole body-minds reaction to stimuli is a study in bias from introduction, recognition as 'other', understanding, acceptance & integration...ready for the next stimuli...

Sorta like Bhuddism for a 30 second attention span, but much better said using a different metaphor by the guy in the next link:

And there are many paths to experiencing the body:

But getting to the place above can be a long journey on the way to...LOVE!

So go ride your bias's, but make sure that it's for the peace & wellbeing of all.

Peace!

pSi-pHi :-)

I guess my 'confirmation bias' has a good stretch from Europe map to Bill Hicks looking for the goodness in the recesses of our global soul...!!
