Yanks Can't Bomb Iran Any More...? What About Israel? What about Bali?

Namaste!

Justin put's it just so, about why Iran should still be nervous following exhoneration by the NIE report this week.

Middle East officials laugh when US Defence Secretary, Robert Gates, says that Israel is not a nuclear threat to it's regional neighbours.

AND this same week, Iran stops selling oil in US dollars proving that their chess game is still in excellent form...!!

MEANWHILE, on a completely different angle, here is a very detailed 2 hour documentary investigation into the 2002 Bali bombings that (re)raises very serious questions about the official investigation findings as to the perpetrators...could it be yet another American false flag operation, undertaken to 'convince' the previously non-commital Indonesian government that they really need to support the 'War on Terror'...or else...?

...as well as to justify harsh new anti-terror laws in Australia, & to scare the Australian people into accepting them...

...working so far murmur the power-elites...

Some of 'The Owners' are listed by Vanity Fair...which risks a cynical conspiracy spiral beginning...

Namaste!

First the article itself (but it sometimes generate's an error...?!?)

It's always fascinating to be illuminated as to who is pulling 'our' strings...e...the list, of course, MUST be recognised as just the opinion of the Editor, however:

A goy opinion on the 'New Establishment' seems in order

While an Israeli, Jewish opinion is obviously required for 'balance' - from The Jerusalem Post, no less

Interestingly, the J Post finishes their article with this comment:

"But while they've excelled disproportionately in areas such as business and medicine, they've often also limited themselves - or been limited to - fields not connected to the public exercise of power.

With the Vanity Fair rankings' focus on leaders outside the public sphere, they may coincidentally mirror traditional Jewish patterns of achievement - and a traditional Jewish aversion to political power."

Not interested in power? An exceedingly disingenuous statement some would say.. according to Wikipedia-land-people, this may not be the case...e...

For an admittedly biased, but i believe more accurate assessment of Israeli - as OPPOSED to Jewish(?) - power, this collection of articles gives a very indepth look at the situation as it is currently being played out...

ANYWAY, the Vanity Fair article itself has generated heaps of comments from the blogosphere, which is not at all surprising...e...

Didn't make the news in the biggest NZ paper, 'The NZ Herald' at all to the best of my knowledge...

Make of all that what you will - the 'Owners' don't care anyway...

And i needn't emphasise, but i will, that i am not 'anti-semetic'; that old canard. The reflex reaction for so many people, sadly...e...

Be re-assured, i am VERY much pro-knowledge, in an 'open source' way!

As Jimi Hendrix - a true American hero said, "WHEN THE POWER OF LOVE OVERCOMES THE LOVE OF POWER THE WORLD WILL KNOW PEACE"

Israel is of course, ONLY a PART of a very complicated, probably impossible to unravel, labyrinth of power, that even those 'Owners' who have the hubris to believe they are in control, really have no idea about it's true parameters, limitations, & weakness's...e...thus it must be abandoned!

...e...this paradigm of power will end, just as have so many previously 'unassailable' power structures...e...

...e...when it does, The Power Of Love with all it's beautiful variations, will one day be the only power that human's will aspire to...e...

...e...change; it's the only thing that stays the same...e...

Then there's this new 'E8' formula that's been posited to be the next big hope for the mystical 'theory of everything'...e8!!!...links in so nicely with philerosophi don't it...?

Kafka's Smoke & Mirrors...bought to you by 'The Owners' for your consumption...

Namaste!

Dazzled by TV is what Kafka was prophetically writing about almost 100 years ago, when observing the effects of the progenitor to the goggle-box...cinema...

Quote from above article:

“Cinema disturbs one’s vision. The speed of the movements and the rapid change of images force you to look continuously from one to the next. Your sight does not master the pictures; it is the pictures that master your sight.”

...& it is this mastery of your sight that the power elite rely on when they need you to NOT notice the bait & switch happening right before your very own eyes as Canadian journalist Barrie Zwicker explains in The Great Conspiracy: The 9/11 News Special You Never Saw... ...& George Carlin about sums it up near perfectly when he says about those same power elite:

"THEY OWN YOU!"

Why can't humanity pull it's way out of this endlessly masochistic loop?

I ask this of myself, & all people, why are i/we so afraid, so fearful, to fall for the same bullshit year in & year out?

As George says:

- we tend to get assassinated if we do stick our head up to much
- we don't get educated about the endless history of lies that control us today

And on top of that, our food, environment & minds are becoming so polluted with various toxins, that by the end of the day the average person is just too damn tired to do much of anything apart from flop down, & watch the TV...e...drug of a nation, breeding ignorance & feeding radiation...e...& try not to worry about how to pay the mortgage, HP's, credit cards etc, without having to always work harder & longer...e...interest rate rises, petrol price rises, staple foods like wheat & dairy rising; prices seem to be rising so steadily they'll soon be hitting the mythical 7th heaven & become monetarily enlightened!!

...e...all the while, while slouched on couch, the TV drills hypnotically into your subconscious...e...the propaganda of frivolous fluff sitcoms segue into un-reality rubbish, then intercut with the fatalistic fear 'the latest News' brings us of death, disease, famine & war, dramatically followed by the latest superhero cops & lawyers, saving the day -yet again, again, AGAIN - the only respite being...buy this! buy that! You can buy it all & there's a money back guarantee that your purchase won't fill the growing emptiness inside you this dross generates day after day, night after night...e...

To sum up the above...

Revelation!

Its an anti-salvation i re-realise with revulsion...e...

...e...studies show we are 7 times more likely to remember, & share, bad news rather than good; &, yes, there is good stuff on TV, but about 7 times less than the bad stuff...e...

Am i falling victim to self-inflicted, paranoid delusional cynicism here?!?!?!

Or fiddling while Rome burns?!?!?!

Or just trying to 'be happy'?!?!?

...e...maybe combining all 3, philerosphi, will grant me the much sought 4th; the state of grace we are all consciously, &/or otherwise, yearning for...e...

A fun train ride last weekend & a community festival this weekend...

Namaste!

An Ozzy friend, Paul, came over to NZ to catch up with some of his old mates & stayed with us a few days as the 1st stop on his trip. We booked a train ride cause we thought it would be fun & our son loved it last time when he was 1, & now he's 2, he thought it was even better!! Paul thought it was great too, even though it rained...e...it is 'The Rainforest Express' after all!!

So if you ever have a few hours to kill in Waitakere City, NZ, do this ride - it's fun!

Tomorrow we're going to this community festival where i hope to catch up with my bro Aaron, whom i haven't seen hide nor hair of for months...e...this parenting gig completely consumes one's time, & although i love our little man beyond words, sometimes i do miss the 'before kids' simple life!!

Well, once again it's late & the eyelids are beginning to sag.

Part of the reason i stay up late on occasion is cause it's well known that on the boundaries between different state's of consciousness one can find one's most creative juices choose to flow...e...as i'm barely ever using any type of substance to alter my consciousness these days, & i am STILL PROCRASTINATING about resuming a meditation practice, the 'pre-sleep zone' can often be fruitful...e...but not really much tonight i doubt, as i is just plain tired now suh...e...

The Insanity of Mysticism...

Namaste!

Great quote - in my opinion - from Ken Wilber:

Are the mystics and sages insane? Because they all tell variations on the same story, don't they? The story of awakening one morning and discovering you are one with the All, in a timeless and eternal and infinite fashion. Yes, maybe they are crazy, these divine fools. Maybe they are mumbling idiots in the face of the Abyss. Maybe they need a nice, understanding therapist. Yes, I'm sure that would help. But then, I wonder. Maybe the evolutionary sequence really is from matter to body to mind to soul to spirit, each transcending and including, each with a greater depth and greater consciousness and wider embrace. And in the highest reaches of evolution, maybe, just maybe, an individual's consciousness does indeed touch infinity—a total embrace of the entire Kosmos—a Kosmic consciousness that is Spirit awakened to its own true nature. It's at least plausible. And tell me: is that story, sung by mystics and sages the world over, any crazier than the scientific materialism story, which is that the entire sequence is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying absolutely nothing? Listen very carefully: just which of those two stories actually sounds totally insane?

...the clock strikes the witching hour...

Namaste!

From a fellow blogger - thanx Adam! - stating the obvious for the 2009 USA presidential election:

Why NOT to vote for Hillary Clinton

Do we really want history to line up Presidential names like this?

1988 - Bush
1992 - Clinton
1996 - Clinton
2000 - Bush
2004 - Bush
2008 - Clinton (since we just like to be popular, have short term memories and no sense of history)

2012 - Clinton (because parties have been renamed Clintons and Bushies. We decide we like a leader who can spell, pronounce words and complete sentences and she can't possibly screw up the country any more than the previous guy did in eight years.)

2016 - Bush (because there are plenty more and we've proven ourselves to have short term memories, no sense of history and like four letter words)

Why not elect Blake and Alexis Carrington Colby (John Forsythe and Joan Collins on Dynasty) and we can call politics what it really is. A prime time soap opera with a big budget. Note that I didn't say JR Ewing because I don't want Secret Service at my door asking who shot him.

Really people, if that's not a good reason...what is??!!??

...e...other news of note?...e...

!Let's spin a positive turn into events now!!

When Banana's Go Bad - 'Chiquita' Cornered in Court

Namaste!

Who's the terrorist now???

..e...quotable quote from above link:

"On March 14, 2007, Chiquita Brands was fined $25 million as part of a settlement with the United States Justice Department for having ties to Colombian paramilitary groups. According to court documents, between 1997 and 2004, high ranking corporate officers paid approximately $1.7 million to the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia, the AUC, in exchange for employee protection in Colombia's volatile banana harvesting zone. Similar payments were also made to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), as well as the National Liberation Army (ELN) from 1989 to 1997 [1][2]. All three of these groups are on the U.S. State Department's list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

On March 19, 2007, Chiquita Brands admitted in federal court that the company paid Colombian terrorists to protect employees at its most profitable banana-growing operation. As part of a deal with prosecutors, the company pleaded guilty to one count of doing business with a terrorist organization. In exchange, the company will pay a $25-million fine and court documents will not reveal the identities of the several senior executives who approved the illegal protection payments [2].

Chiquita currently faces serious charges in a lawsuit issued in June 2007. According to the attorney of 173 family members of victims of the AUC militia this could be the biggest terrorist case in history and may put Chiquita out of business. "Terry Collingsworth, a lawyer with International Rights Advocates who is leading the multi-million dollar litigation, said: "This is a landmark case, maybe the biggest terrorism case in history. In terms of casualties, it's the size of three World Trade Center attacks. [3]"

Favourite inspirational words of wisdom...

Namaste>>>

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

...e...agape...e...

Namaste!

...e...the spiral is the symbol for philerosophi, & 'e' is the closest i could get to picture this easily; without learning how to draw pictures that is...e...which i DO have to learn soon...e...philerosophilerosophilerosophi...e...since it circle's back into itself...e...but change moves in spirals, not circle's, so MORE 'love comes to town' in the form of agape...e...AGAPE! the infinite, eternal "i am" is in the Agape; a gap-e...e!...so we have:

1 - philia; 'masculine' ?brotherly? love
2 - eros ; 'feminine' ?erotic? love
3 - sophia; God give me the wisdom to know the difference...
4 - agape; 'androgenous' ?spiritual? love

The Greek words for 'love'...!

...e...so why the '?...?' around the forms of love above?...e...because, like all words, love's meaning changes over the ages with the word's expansion into new realms, or contraction from previous vista's, giving us an appreciation of how the grandious meta-metaphor of love itself spiral's through different strands of understanding...e...yet always remaining erotically interwoven within itself...

...thus, finally, 'agape' is the mystery that completes the trinity of 'the types of love', the light between, the no-thing, a gap 'e' between the different types of love, & how to loosly define the difference amongst them?...e...yet also delineate the continuance of them...e...turning the circle into a spiral so growth can continue & we escape the trap of the circle...e...apparently pi, yet in real-it-i; phi!!...e...!!...can be both oh so easily as well if one's imagination can stretch into the irrational...e...which is what both of these numbers are after all; irrational...e...trancendental...e...it's all spiritual...e...

...e...i found it very interesting how in the previous link it was described as originally being closely associated with feasting; like the food was consciously being viewed as the material symbol for the ultimate sacrifice...e...giving all of itself for the good of others...e...

More on the 'Agape feast' here

...e...HOWEVER if you look up the 'Agape' Wikipedia entry by itself, it is defined differently again from 'The Greek words for 'love'' link above:

'Agape' defined in isolation

ANYWAY..!!

i think i'd forgotten to introduce agape before this...? have i?

It's funny that these irrational, trancendental numbers also are 1, 2, 3 + a bit for each of them:

'pi' & 'phi' with 'e' being the 3rd irrational number in the set - didn't know that till now!

What is 'Education'????

Namaste!

At 17 & after 12 years in the NZ schooling system - 5 at Kadimah College, a private school (Kadimah was pretty good i guess, but the rest was ho-hum @ best), & then the remaining 2 at Avondale Intermediate & 5 at Auckland Grammar, both public schools - i was certainly disassociated from any understanding of the 'value of a good education', & never wanted to 'go back to school' again...EVER...so the ability to judge a good education is critical to me now that our son is 2, & not so long from now, we will have to decide what part, if any, of the formal education system he is to enter...

1,2,3,4...

Namaste!

It occurs to me, rather obviously now, that since we all live in & share a material world, all that is necessary to locate the nexus of the 'small' self is some co-ordinates...these will do nicely:

1 - height
2 - depth
3 - width
4 - time

...& there 'i' am, in the wound, the scar, that is the navel of my brain-mind...

"The umbilicus is also used to visually separate the abdomen into quadrants. The navel comes in the center of the circle enclosing the spread-eagle figure in Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, his famous drawing on human proportions. This illustrates the principle that in the shift between the spread-eagle pose and the straight pose, the apparent center of the figure seems to move, but in reality, the navel of the figure, which is the true center of gravity, remains motionless.

The height at which navels are located on the abdomen is variable. An ideal proportion of navel height versus body height is said to be based on the Golden Section, also known as the "Divine Proportion" by philosophers and artists. This is a geometric proportion in which a line is divided so that the ratio of the length of the longer line segment to the length of the entire line is equal to the ratio of the length of the shorter line segment to the length of the longer line segment. This Golden Section ratio has a numerical value of approximately 1.618. In other words, an ideal navel height is about 62% of the body height and is said to exhibit special beauty as the legs and torso appear in sound proportion." Wikipedia

This macro-microcosm, moves up into the meta-macrocosm, & the 'great self', becomes beyond one's imagination & blends into the One...just as the One blends back into the one, we have a multiverse of versions of 'i' all in between & all around, each reaching out for more connection by infinite strands of axes mundi forever within, & forever without...

..."Wounded Healer is an archetypal dynamic that psychologist Carl Jung used to describe a phenomenon that may take place in the relationship between analyst and patient.

Jung theorized that there were several modes of communication between analyst and analysand in regards to the "wounded healer phenomena"; a common one being the following example:

The psychiatrist, through the nature of his profession is consciously aware of his own personal wounds. However, these wounds may be activated in certain situations, especially if his patient's wounds are similar to his own. (This can be the basis of countertransference).
In the meantime, the wounded patient's "inner healer" is unconscious to him, but potentially available.
The patient's wounds activate those of the doctor. The doctor realizes what is taking place, and either consciously or unconsciously passes this awareness back to his patient.
In this way, an unconscious relationship takes place between analyst and patient.
Jung felt that this type of depth psychology can be potentially dangerous, because the analyst is vulnerable to being infected by his patient's wounds, or having his or her wounds reopened. Also, the analyst must have an ongoing relationship with the unconscious, otherwise he or she could identify with the "healer archetype", and create an inflated ego.

Jung derives the term "wounded healer" from the ancient Greek legend of Asclepius, a physician who in identification of his own wounds creates a sanctuary at Epidaurus in order to treat others."

"But what's the alternative? Communism?"...scream 'the system's' defenders.

We can build one.

We have the theory, & the practice demonstrated by dedicated groups of people, on small to medium scales on many occasions, historically & in contemporary times. However they are prevented from being successfully up-scaled to 'compete' with the dominant paradigm, by that very same paradigm's self interest in remaining;

...the dominant paradigm...!!!

The likely outcome of more 'business as usual'...? Look here for a video of Jared Diamond speaking on his most recent book, "Collapse: How Socieities Choose to Fail or Survive":

The Necessary Embrace of Conspiracy

The Necessary Embrace of Conspiracy

Several years ago I gave a talk on Martha’s Vineyard about many of the people whose portraits I’ve painted in the Americans Who Tell the Truth series. I spent some time talking about the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. When I talk about King, I like to focus on his last year --- the period when, defying the advice of many of his advisors in the civil rights movement, he spoke against the Vietnam War, equating racism with imperialism. King felt bound to make the point that the forces of capitalism, materialism, and militarism that were driving segregation were also driving the war, and until we confronted the source of the problem, the abuses would continue. It was April 4, 1967, in Riverside Church in New York, that he made that declaration. A year to the day before his assassination.

It has always confounded me every year when we celebrate Dr. King’s life that no mention is made of that Riverside Church speech in the major media. We are always treated to sound bites of the 1963 I Have a Dream speech. That speech’s oratory is as powerful as it is non-confrontational. Which is why it is re-played for modern audiences. Dr. King was about confrontation. Non-violence and confrontation, each ennobling and making the other effective. In 1967 he said, “... my country is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today.” And he explained how our economic system thrived on exploitation and violence, or, as Emma Goldman put it, “The greatest bulwark of capitalism is militarism.” This was probably the most important speech King ever gave and not playing it when we ostensibly honor him, is tantamount to castrating him morally and intellectually. Just as there is a long history of White America castrating black men, there is an equal legacy of Elite America cutting the most important truths of our social prophets out of the history books. We pay homage to King’s icon, the cardboard cutout, but not to his strongest beliefs and his most cogent analysis of our problems --- to what vision called forth his courage. And, if we think that he spoke the truth, to censor that truth is to promote a curious kind of segregation. He is segregated, not for the color of his skin, but for the accuracy of his perception, how close to the bone his words cut. We can’t bear to hear the sound of truth’s knife scraping on hypocrisy’s bone. Only people who actually want to change the system dance to that music or want it to be heard.

Equally important, and part of the same neglect, is the intentional ignoring of the facts of his death. In my talk on Martha’s Vineyard I spoke about William Pepper’s book, An Act of State: The Execution of Martin Luther King, Jr. Pepper had been James Earl Ray’s lawyer. Ray was the man convicted of killing King. But both Pepper and the King family were convinced that Ray was innocent. The King family hired Pepper to represent them in a suit; they asked only $100.00 in damages to clear Ray’s name. Before the trial came to court in 1999, Ray had died in prison. The jury determined that King had been assassinated by a conspiracy involving the Memphis police, the Mafia, the FBI, and the Special Forces of the U.S. Army. Ray, the patsy, had left town before the shot was fired. Pepper had confessions from people involved from each of the organizations named. The verdict was barely mentioned in the U.S. media then and is not mentioned every year on the anniversary of his death. Why?

After my talk on Martha’s Vineyard a man came up to me and said, “I enjoyed your speech and was with you until you started that conspiracy stuff about MLK, Jr.” I said, “That’s not conspiracy. What I told you are facts.” End of conversation.

I think we’re confronted with two conspiracies here: one to commit the crime, the other to ignore it even when the facts are known. ( Two sides of the same coin.) The man who accused me of slipping into the neurotic, aliens-are–among-us land of conspiracy nuts was unable to hear the evidence, perhaps because he was so utterly convinced by our government and media that conspiracies don’t exist, people who espouse them are dangerous fruitcakes, and if you begin to think like that, your whole house of cards wobbles then topples. Who wants that? Better a standing tower of marked cards, than having to admit the game is rigged and the ground is shaking.

America is steeped in conspiracy, and even more steeped in propaganda that discredits those who try to expose the conspiracies. Whether we’re talking about MLK, Jr., JFK, RFK, Iran-Contra, 9/11, or, most importantly, the status quo, anyone who works to uncover the truth is branded a “conspiracy nut” and discredited before any evidence has a fair hearing. The government/corporate/media version is THE VERSION. Anything else is illusory.

In fact, the cultural success of labeling investigative reporters and forensic historians, and, simply, anyone who tries to name reality, “conspiracy nuts” is perhaps the most successful conspiracy of our time. Well, not the most successful. That prize goes to the conspiracy to give corporations all the rights of individual persons under our Constitution. That conspiracy has codified and consolidated corporate power so that it controls our lives in almost every meaningful way. It controls the election funds of our candidates, and them once they are in office. It controls our major media including public broadcasting. It controls the content of our television programming. It controls how are tax dollars are spent making sure that the richest get the most welfare. It controls the laws, the courts, the prison system and the mind numbing propaganda that we are the greatest democracy on earth. It controls the values with which we raise our children. It controls our ability to dispense justice. It controls how we treat nature, how we deface our land with strip malls, and blow the tops off our mountains --- a form of corporate free speech. It dictates our modes of transportation. It controls our inability to respond to true crises like climate change. It attempts to create a spiritual deficiency in every person that can be filled and healed only with stuff --- and no stuff is ever enough.

As Richard Grossman puts it, "Isn't it an old story? People create what looks to be a nifty machine, a robot, called the corporation. Over time, the robots get together and
overpower the people. ... For a century, the robots propagandize and indoctrinate each generation of people so they grow up believing that robots are people too, gifts from God and Mother Nature; that they are inevitable and the source of all that is good. How odd that we have been so gullible, so docile, obedient."

It is obvious to say that we have been engineered into a culture that values competitive consumption and consumers instead of community cooperation and citizenship. Capitalism with its obsessive and necessary appetite for consumption, expanding markets, resource depletion, and increasing profits has consumed democracy. Have you ever watched a small snake swallow a large frog? The snake’s hinged jaw stretches wider and wider, squeezing the frog millimeter by millimeter into its gullet until finally the snake looks like the Holland Tunnel might if it had devoured the Titanic. Then the acids and enzymes do their corrosive work. The frog becomes the snake. And the snake claims it is the frog. Capitalism has gulped down democracy and claimed it is democracy. When, immediately after 9/11, President Bush advised Americans to demonstrate their love of freedom and their resistance to terrorism by courageously, selflessly, hurrying to the mall to buy something, he was speaking as the snake that identifies itself as a frog. He was asking us to play a little game with our brains’ synapses, replace the snake icon with the frog’s. Sadly, he may also have been speaking about democracy in the only way that he can understand or recognize it. And, for him, Christianity has been another tidy meal for the snake.

Perhaps this switcheroo is nowhere more obvious than in the military /industrial complex. We are told that the vulnerable frog needs protecting. The threats are grave. So we fork over our money and children’s lives for war and weapons. We are told that we are building security and peace. More lives. More weapons. What we aren’t told is that the largest US export to the world is weapons. What we aren’t told is that enormous fortunes are being made from the arms trade. What we aren’t told is that the more precarious and unstable the world is, the better the business for the arms dealers --- that the real promotion is not for security and peace but insecurity and war, that the lives of our children are the necessary collateral damage for this monster. What we aren’t told is that the only real security is in cooperation, conservation, and fairness, not imperialism. The frog, who is a snake, wrapped in a flag, pleads for patriotism and counts the cash. The snake’s forked tongue is a barbeque fork on which we’ve all been roasted.

I’d call that conspiracy.

The neocons have claimed, with some accuracy, that they can create reality faster than we can react: the deed is done, now deal with it. The troops have invaded, Halliburton, Blackwater, and Lockheed signed their contracts, the prisoners are tortured, your email is bugged, the resources for social programs are gone, the laws are changed, the Wal-Mart is built, the sludge dump has already polluted the aquifer, truth is hollowed out ---- catch me if you can!

How is that not conspiracy?

The cooks & the crooks create a new status quo, legalize it, propagandize it, mythologize it, fundamentalize it, slather it with fear and patriotism, and force feed it to the complacent, sedated cow we call America.

How is that not conspiracy?

Of course, ever since the Constitution was signed and didn’t free the slaves or give the vote to women, poor folks, Native Americans and freed blacks so that people with power and money could continue to profit, America has been a conspiracy against itself. It’s been cowboy grilling his own heart over a smoke & mirrors campfire, a CEO with inherited wealth and three hundred years of patrician, affirmative action crooning “Only in America.”
The reason we can’t talk about conspiracy is because it is the modus operandi. It isn’t the elephant in the room, it is the room itself. We all live there. We can impeach a few elephants, and we should, but the architecture is in place. And they control it.

When I was in school, I was reminded – repeatedly --- to avoid using an indefinite pronoun without identifying whom it refers to, as in, “They are coming to get us,” … or, “They control everything.” Who are They? It’s bad practice to think and write like that. Without reference it just sounds like paranoia. But the hell of it is that it’s damned hard to say who the They are that are in conspiracy to destroy democracy and, by exploitation, nature. Did They do it on purpose or merely discover by serendipity, like cavemen seeing copper ooze out of a rock by a fire, the wondrous possibility and power of what they had found. For instance, the invention of the TV was not a conspiracy. But once the realization of how TV could be used to submerge the public in a lobotomizing swamp of advertising, sound bites, inactivity, community destruction, titillation, false history, empty myth, consumption, and complicity in making fortunes for the sponsors, the program was clear. Conspiracy was the silent partner in the euphemism good business practice. And, once they saw the implications of giving corporations First Amendment rights, they were home free.

Time to re-think conspiracy.

We need to embrace conspiracy in two ways. One, admit that it’s real, its quotidian, it’s the fabric of our lives, the mercury in the air, the dioxin in the water, it’s filling the airwaves and the marketplace and the courts and the halls of Congress before we even get out of bed every morning. Two, counter it with a conspiracy of our own. On our side we have the fundamental fact that although the corporate They can alter many of our realities, they can’t alter Reality. They can’t change the behavior of Nature. They can sell off the rain forest, but they can’t leverage the effect of cutting it. They can keep the mileage of cars poor so we’ll buy more gas, but they can’t alter the amount of oil in the ground or the damage to the atmosphere. They can privatize every human interaction and every natural resource, but they can’t privatize the laws of nature. They have conspired to change reality. We must conspire to live in harmony with Reality.
In the same way, they can conspire to kill Martin Luther King, Jr., but they can’t totally eradicate the truth of who did it and why.

Con + spirare, from the Latin. To breathe together. Those are the roots of conspiracy. Breathing together doesn’t sound like an activity of the ideologically deracinated whispering seditiously in a dank cellar or a board room, foul breaths denting a weak flame flickering over a candle nub, gunpowder or greed blackened fingers setting a timer, the whites of creased eyes glinting like knives with treason, murder, power, and deceit.

Con + spirare sounds like healthy men and women standing in the sun figuring out how in the hell they are going to take care of each other and their aging mother Earth and love life while doing it. Breathing together, sharing the same air, plotting to make sure that what’s mine is yours, conspiring to save their self-respect, their ideals, the future for their children.

I want to be part of a conspiracy. Pervasive, populist, revolutionary, and totally transparent. Grassroots. Idealistic. Simplistic. Life-affirming. Community building
A conspiracy to make the common good and the love of nature the common denominator of every economic transaction.

And the simple truth is either we start breathing together, conspiring big time, right out in the open, nakedly, unashamedly, or we will have conspired in secret, by default, in our own demise.
We have let them breathe for us, and they have stolen our breath, our air, our spirit.

Secret con + spirare is death. Open con + spirare is life.

Conspiracy is dead. Long live conspiracy!

Between & beyond the 'circle of pi', within & without the 'spiral of phi' lives the mystery of life, & the greatest mystery of life would have to be...LOVE - would it not?

This is the essence of philerosophi's creation...looping the loop of LOVE, round & round, & round it goes...minimal 'rationalisation' involved by necessity, yet able to be 'rationalised' to eternity if one wishes to follow that path...

...this i has certainly rationalised plenty over philerosophi's conceptualisation, with the inherent -eventually- intent of simplifying it to the most extent possible.

And no, i can't rationalise the merging of pi & phi, i doubt it can be rationalised, however i can imagine the concept of their combination in my own way.

i can individuate my own unique reality based on their boundless parameters...

...thus is why philerosophi is based on 1 symbol, united by 4 numbers, not scripture.

Scripture?

Already done by (& before) the Gnostic's et al! Way too much rationalisation in way too many ways! But some great stuff in there, much of which i have definately been influenced by.

With symbol & number we all share a common historical mythos...circling the square...

A merging of the circle & the square, similar perhaps to the widespread ancient pre-lierate 'Sun Cross' symbol, except rather than an 'ordinary' circle on the outer, it could start with a circle on the inner which gradually spirals out...One hasn't settled on the final pict...a merging of these 2, to be tweaked into a 3rd to deliver the 4th --> A-GAP-E...!!

THE ARTIST AS HEALER OF THE WORLD

by Paul Levy

In my last two articles The Wounded Healer, Part 1 and Part 2, I point out the importance of consciously stepping into the archetypal figure of the "wounded healer" for the healing of our planetary situation. The wounded healer receives the gifts encoded in their ordeal when they are able to alchemically transform the seemingly obscuring energies of their wound into fuel for their fire of realization. Wounded healers access their gifts when they realize that their wound is itself the source of divine creativity, as well as the portal through which the highest, most individualized form of this creativity can manifest. The archetype of the wounded healer is intimately related to the archetypal figure of the artist, as both are able to creatively express and thereby be in-formed by, while simultaneously transforming, the deeper archetypal energies operating within both their own psyche, as well as the collective unconscious of humanity at large.

In alignment with their mythic identity as would-be hero or heroine, the artist (arche)typically has to wrestle with their inner "demons." The artist's inner demons are internalized, personalized reflections of the very same "demons" that are being played out collectively on the world stage. Like all of us, the artist suffers from the spirit of the age. Having permeable boundaries and being by nature highly empathic, sensitive and intuitive, an artist is able to introject into themselves and creatively "out-picture" and express what is happening both within themselves and the world in which they live. The artist's inner process, like that of all of us, is a manifestation of the field around them, in which they are inseparably contained and of which they are an expression.

The "daemonic" is an archetypal, transpersonal energy, greater than the merely personal, which nonlocally pervades the entire field and can literally take us over, compelling us to unconsciously act it out so as to give shape and form to itself. The daemonic is a reflection of the part of ourselves that is split-off from itself, which is to say separated from our unity with all things. This dissociated part of ourselves develops a seemingly quasi-independent, autonomous life and will of its own, appearing as an alien "other," not under the control of the ego. In having it out with and coming to terms with the daemonic within themselves, the artist is able to translate these energies into something useful, both for themselves and the world around them. Encoded in the daemonic is everything we need for our self-realization, as if the daemonic is a compensation of the deeper unified and unifying field, offering us exactly what is required for us to wake up.

Anything we are not in conscious relationship with "possesses" us from behind, affecting us beneath our conscious awareness. If we don't consciously relate with these split-off parts of ourselves, they constellate negatively and become "demonic," in that they manifest, whether it be inwardly or outwardly, in a destructive manner. If in our avoidance of consciously relating with these energies we allow ourselves to become unconsciously possessed by them, we become their unwitting minion, their agent of incarnation into our three dimensional world, creating destruction in life, whether individually, in our personal lives, or collectively, on the world stage. The artist, on the other hand, by creatively expressing and thereby liberating their experience, is able to extract from the daemonic a blessing which imbues their work with a corresponding numinous power, which in-fluences (and "in-flows" into) others.

The "daemonic," like any archetypal energy, has both a positive or negative potentiality. Etymologically speaking, the word "daemon" is related to our inner voice and guiding spirit, an "entity" called by various names such as our genius, jinn (or genie), and guardian angel. Speaking of this animated and animating being, Jung said, "This living spirit is eternally renewed and pursues its goal in manifold and inconceivable ways throughout the history of mankind. Measured against it, the names and forms which men have given it mean very little; they are only the changing leaves and blossoms on the stem of the eternal tree." The daemonic energy that is in-forming events in our world is an archetypal recurrence of an atemporal, eternal pattern which has been irrupting into our world since the beginning of human history.

Jung pointed out that, "the tragedy is that the daemon of the inner voice is at once our greatest danger and an indispensable help. It is tragic, but logical, for it is the nature of things to be so." Paradoxically, encoded in the daemonic is "our greatest danger" as well as "an indispensable help," as the daemonic, being a non-dual power, contains both of these opposites inseparably co-joined as one. Alchemists express this same idea: their "God" is Hermes-Mercury, who symbolizes the highest divinity as well as the deepest evil combined in one being. This is expressing the realization that the opposites are ultimately not in opposition to each other, but rather are intimately and inseparably co-related to each other. The opposites always appear together, mutually relativizing and conditioning each other, turning into each other so as to ultimately appear indistinguishable from each other.

Bringing the opposites together is to access and activate symbolic awareness. When we recognize the inseparability and interpenetration of all things, we recognize that our universe is a living oracle, a continually unfolding revelation that, just like a dream, is constantly speaking to us symbolically. Tapping into symbolic awareness, we can't help but to naturally express our experience symbolically, as we ourselves have become a living, embodied symbol of our realization. Being able to "symbolize" our experience to ourselves and by extension the outside world, we ourselves step into the role of the creative artist.

The inner voice of the daemon is making itself known to us, which is to say that a living, creative spirit, with both destructive and constructive potentiality, is revealing itself to us. This spirit will continue to manifest "demonically" and destructively, however, as long as we lack the courage to engage with it. The inner voice of the daemon can potentially become our ally, however, if we get into conscious relationship with what it triggers in ourselves. If we do not become "touched" by the daemon, to quote Jung, "no regeneration or healing can take place…if by self-assertion the ego can save itself from being completely swallowed, then it can assimilate the voice [of the daemon], and we realize that the evil was, after all, only a semblance of evil, but in reality a bringer of healing and illumination. In fact, the inner voice is a 'Lucifer' in the strictest and most unequivocal sense of the word." Lucifer, the morning star, is the "bringer of the light." If we have a strongly enough developed sense of self, we are able to objectify and enter into conscious relationship with the daemon, thereby saving ourselves from being swallowed and possessed by it. Paradoxically, relating to our daemon as a separate, autonomous "other" - an actual living being - is the very way we integrate the daemon into ourselves. We are then able to metabolize and assimilate the daemon so as to receive its blessing in support of our spiritual unfoldment. When consciously embraced and related to, instead of manifesting as a destructive demon or devil obscuring our path, our daemon introduces us to our calling and helps us find our true vocation, which is what we are here to do. Thus, hidden in the daemonic is our creative genius. This is why Jung said, "the daemonic is the not yet realized creative."

The word diabolical, etymologically speaking, means that which separates and divides. The antonym and antidote to the diabolic is the symbolic, which means that which brings together and unites. As the artist wrestles with their "demons," they are able to "symbolize" their experience in the form of their creative art. Symbols bring together conflicting energies in a way where something new is created. A symbol partakes of both sides of the conflict at the same time that it transcends and reconciles the underlying polarity. Symbols, which are the language of dreams, are a revelation of the deeper unified and unifying field, simultaneously reflecting and effecting an expansion of consciousness. In wrestling with their demons, an artist is like a sorcerer and magician in that they are able to constructively channel, transmute and express these "demons" in a form which takes away their spell-binding power over themselves, while at the same time helps to dis-spell the collective enchantment which pervades the entire field of consciousness.

ARTIST AS ORACLE

Art-making is a process in which the artist is continually articulating, refining, and creating an ever-evolving form of symbolic language. In being a conduit for the formation of a new language, the artist is shedding light on and participating in the creation of language itself. How language gets created invariably leads us right back to the psyche, which is simultaneously the subject and the object of the new language. The psyche is both source and recipient of the creatively emerging new form of language, just like in a dream the psyche might produce a written text for another part of itself to read. In its crafting of a new symbolic language, the psyche is literally building a bridge so as to telepathically communicate with itself. The shaping and re-shaping of ever-new forms of expression is the psyche's continually evolving way of knowing itself and deepening its - and our - realization.

As the newly created language clothes and animates itself in its novel forms, it is as if the "Word" becomes flesh. Interestingly, we make a word by "spell"-ing it. Discovering novel iterations of language is itself a "spell-casting" activity, in that it serves to dis-spell the veil of illusion which seemingly obstructs us from our own experience. In unveiling novel forms of language, the artist conjures up a more coherent state of consciousness within themselves as a result of their creative act. Because we are all connected, their state of integration instantaneously, in no time whatsoever, gets registered in the collective unconscious of each one of us, where it nonlocally impacts the entire field.

The very act of verbally or nonverbally language-ing our experience, of giving creative shape and form to what is happening both inside and outside of us is itself the process through which we, as artists, deepen our realization of what we are trying to express. The fact that our realization of what we are expressing deepens through the act of creatively expressing it is the litmus test which certifies our act of creation to be worthy of the name "art." In creating a new form of communication, the work of art is both an expression of a more expanded consciousness, as well as being its initiator, which is to say that the act of artistic creation is simultaneously a means to an end and the end itself, both journey and goal.

To quote Jung, an artist is "a vehicle and moulder of the unconscious psychic life of mankind." The archetypal figure of the artist is a deeper role that each of us is being asked by the universe to consciously incarnate in our personal lives as a way of being of service to both ourselves and the world around us. When I use the term "artist," I am not using it in a traditional, limited way of meaning someone who is solely painting, drawing, or using some other particular-ized medium; this is too circumscribed and flat-land of a conception of what an artist is. When I use the term "artist" I am alluding to the fact that we are all creative, multi-dimensional visionary artists (and dreamers) whose canvas is life itself.

As more of us wake up to our true nature as creative beings, we can connect with each other and co-operatively create what I call an "Art-Happening Called Global Awakening" (please see the last chapter in my book, 'The Madness of George W. Bush.' ) In this work of collaborative, visionary, living art, we can put our lucid awareness together and "conspire to co-inspire" to wake ourselves up and activate our collective genius so as to dream a more grace-filled universe into materialization. This is nothing less than an exponential quantum leap in human consciousness. We are being invited by the universe to actively participate in our own evolution.

Jung had great insight into the primary role that the human psyche plays in the creative process (or lack thereof) of humankind, both in individuals and collectively as a species. As Jung reminds us, "the human psyche is the womb of all the arts." He recognized the significance of the creative artist as an archetypal figure existing within the collective unconscious of humanity which literally is the conduit for and revelation of the creative spirit existing within all of us. Being an archetypal figure, the artist is a role that exists outside of time while simultaneously continuing to re-present itself in infinitely creative guises and unique iterations in, through, and over time. Talking about how a new idea, a creative way of looking at the world comes into existence, Jung says "Although they come into being at a definite time, they are and have always been timeless. They arise from that realm of creative psychic life out of which the ephemeral mind of the single human being grows like a plant that blossoms, bears fruit and seed, and then withers and dies." Human beings are the conduits through which the timeless creative process that underlies and in-forms the human psyche as well as the world at large becomes actualized in linear time. The inner, archetypal figure of the artist facilitates and is the vehicle for the continual unfoldment of our psychological and spiritual self-realization, as in this figure the creative spirit realizes itself through us, while at the same time we reciprocally realize ourselves through it.

Jung said, "The unborn work in the psyche of the artist is a force of nature…We would do well, therefore, to think of the creative process as a living thing implanted in the human psyche." This "living thing implanted in the human psyche" is a creative and creating spirit, an inspiring wind that blows where it wills. Speaking of this living spirit, Jung commented that, "it freely chooses the men [and women] who proclaim it and in whom it lives." This is to say that the creative spirit is autonomous and not under the control of our ego. To quote Jung, this spirit is like "a hush that follows the storm, a reconciling light in the darkness of man's mind, secretly bringing order into the chaos of his soul." The creative spirit is a holy and whole-making spirit, a living spiritual being that literally animates and potentially, depending upon how we relate to it, either destroys or heals us. Speaking of this same sacred spirit, Christ said in the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, "If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you."

As if a living oracle, the figure of the artist is a mouthpiece for the time in which they live. Like a psychic scribe, they are able to outwardly express and explicate the emerging zeitgeist, the implicate spirit of the age, while simultaneously giving shape to the deeper, archetypal, time-less, and unconscious process which in-forms all ages. For Jung, the artist "…lifts the idea he is seeking to express out of the occasional and the transitory into the realm of the ever-enduring. He transmutes our personal destiny into the destiny of mankind, and evokes in us all those beneficent forces that ever and anon have enabled humanity to find a refuge from every peril and to outlive the longest night."

The artist allows themselves to get "dreamed up" by the field to become the "medium" through which the spirit of the age moves and inspires them to creatively express itself. Speaking about this process, Jung said, "At such moments we are no longer individuals, but the race; the voice of all mankind resounds in us." The artist is an open, receptive instrument through which a living creative spirit gives shape to and reveals itself. In this process, the artist becomes an ongoing revelation to themselves, while at the same time their art is a revelation of the creative spirit to the world. Their art is both a manifestation of, as well as a gateway through which we become introduced to the creative spirit which lives within all of us.

THE UNIVERSE AS A WHOLE SYSTEM

When our universe is viewed as a whole system composed of multiple dimensions fractally and "holarchically" (i.e., a hierarchy of holons; a "holon" is both a part of a greater whole and a whole system in and of itself) nested within each other, when something is out of balance in the system, whether it be on the level of the individual, family, community, nation or planet, the greater underlying field self-regulates and invariably manifests so as to compensate the one-sidedness in the system. This innate self-balancing mechanism is similar to how dreams are simultaneously an expression of and a compensation for our unconsciousness. When seen as a family system, all the seemingly separate parts and members of the whole, unified and unifying system are recognizable as fundamentally interconnected and holographic reflections of each other.

When there is an unconscious imbalance or disturbance in the field, a co-responding and reflex-ive compensatory process becomes activated in the underlying unifying field, invariably resulting in an archetypal, healing figure incarnating in human form - whether we call this figure artist, shaman, healer, seer, or poet. The intuitive human beings who become channels for this process are tuned into and sensitive to the underlying unified field in a way that helps the field to unify. To quote Jung, "Whenever conscious life becomes one-sided or adopts a false attitude, these images 'instinctively' rise to the surface in dreams and in the vision of artists and seers to restore the psychic balance, whether of the individual or of the epoch."

The inspiration that comes through the artist is like a healing enzyme, a time-release multivitamin, which the underlying unified field organically secretes when needed. Jung continues, "An epoch is like an individual; it has its own limitations of conscious outlook, and therefore requires a compensatory adjustment. This is effected by the collective unconscious when a poet or seer lends expression to the unspoken desire of his times and shows the way, by word or deed, to its fulfillment."

The figure of the artist plays a crucial role in the psychological health of a people. Jung comments on this key function that the artist plays in the world at large by saying, "By giving it shape, the artist translates it into the language of the present, and so makes it possible for us to find our way back to the deepest springs of life. Therein lies the social significance of art: it is constantly at work educating the spirit of the age, conjuring up the forms in which the age is most lacking. The unsatisfied yearning of the artist reaches back to the primordial image in the unconscious which is best fitted to compensate the inadequacy and one-sidedness of the present."

Following their inner calling, the creative artist's unique vision "en-livens" them, which can oftentimes lead to them having trouble fitting into the suffocating, deadening constraints of conventional, mainstream society. To quote Jung, "Here the artist's relative lack of adaptation turns out to his advantage; it enables him to follow his own yearnings far from the beaten path, and to discover what it is that would meet the unconscious needs of his age. Thus, just as the one-sidedness of the individual's conscious attitude is corrected by reactions from the unconscious, so art represents a process of self-regulation in the life of nations and epochs."

The figure of the artist is "not free," however, in the sense that they are subordinate to and in the service of their impulse to create. A genuine artist has the utmost loyalty and fidelity to their inner voice, which is a real, full-time vocation, as if they are following a higher, religious calling. The artist's path is truly spiritual, as they have offered their life in service to something beyond and greater than themselves. To quote Jung, "Art is a kind of innate drive that seizes a human being and makes him its instrument. The artist is not a person endowed with free will who seeks his own ends, but one who allows art to realize its purposes through him." The artist has an "inner necessity" to create new forms that express what they are experiencing. Interestingly, "inner necessity" is a phrase coined to describe the compelling urgency to create which animated German Expressionism (the artistic movement that arose in Germany during the time of their nation's collective psychosis during the first part of the last century).

Just like a child in a family is a natural-born shaman and intuitively "picks-up" and unwittingly embodies the unresolved energies in the family system by unconsciously acting them out, we, as "members" of the greater human family, are all potential shamans, healers and artists, as we are conduits for internalizing, metabolizing, and channeling the deeper unconscious shadow that is in the collective family system of our species. Jung points out that the daemon, in the form of our inner voice "makes us conscious of the evil from which the whole community is suffering, whether it be the nation or the whole human race. But it presents this evil in an individual form, so that one might at first suppose it to be only an individual characteristic." It is very seductive to personalize, and pathologize, our inner experiences, believing they are just our own problems, without realizing that we might be unwittingly being dreamed up by the underlying field to pick-up, like a would-be shaman, the split-off, unconscious energies that are playing out all around us.

As the artist expands their consciousness through the act of artistic creation, they effect a subtle but very real change at the level of the unconscious itself. This effect potentially has far-reaching consequences, extending throughout space as well as in, over and outside of time, as this change in the collective unconscious nonlocally impacts the entire underlying field of non-dual consciousness which pervades everything. Deepening their inner realization through their creative act, the artist is tapping into the source matrix, the zero point energy field, out of which events, both individually in our personal lives, and writ large on the world stage, emerge. In finding new forms of creatively expressing what is moving them, the artist is literally shedding the light of consciousness of the underlying unifying field on itself, thereby "lighting up" their very being and the world around them.

A deep inner necessity inspires the artist to continually find novel ways of creatively expressing their experience. If the artist stopped metabolizing and creatively giving shape and form to what was being touched inside of them, they run the risk of becoming neurotic, and getting stuck in and overwhelmed by the unconsciousness that is playing out all around them. When "called" by the spirit, it is important for the would-be shaman/healer/artist to assent and say "yes" to being called, in which case they are supported by the very powers that sponsored their calling in the first place.

ART-MAKING IS A SACRED ACT

Creatively giving shape and form to the underlying energies which animate our species in a "container" that can hold the experience allows for a shamanic, holy, and whole-making ritual to be made real in time. The act of participating in the creation of art is a magical, ceremonial rite, a sacred liturgy, a higher-dimensional form of communion, a kind of "performance art," which simultaneously transfigures the unconscious energies in both the artist and the surrounding field. Creatively expressing what is moving us is the very act which liberates us from the compulsion of having to unconsciously re-create these energies (self)-destructively in a way that continually re-traumatizes both ourselves and the world around us. Alchemically transforming these energies, an artist allows them to reveal their holy origin. The act of art-making partakes of the nature of the divine, in that the entire universe, which is itself a living work of continually-unfolding art, becomes infused with endless-inspiration as we consciously realize our relationship with our ever-evolving and never-expiring, creative spirit.

Art-making is a sacred act. Art attains its greatest numinosity and ability to affect others when the creator of the work of art is being transformed in and through the act of creating. One can mimic sacred art for a living, many people get paid for this, but ultimately this is a mere forgery. There is a world of difference between copying, imitating and aping sacred art, and living our own creative experience. When we live creatively guided by our daemon, our life itself becomes a living work of art. Continually participating in our own creative process, our unique articulation of our experience then becomes imbued with a psycho-activating energy, which can nonlocally catalyze a process of transformation throughout the entire universe.

We have but one word, the word "Art" to connote when someone draws a stick figure on a piece of paper as well as when somebody channels a masterpiece which can change the consciousness of our species as well as the course of history. As we shed more light on the artistic, creative process, it becomes important to create a new, richer language so as to differentiate between different levels of artistic accomplishment. For example, it is one thing when a company puts on a play and the actors that perform the various roles play them convincingly but don't really access in themselves the deeper, living experience of transformation that the characters go through, nor understand the deeper meaning of the drama they are enacting. Their play can still affect the audience if done well but it is a different order of artistic creation, with a much deeper transformative impact on the audience's spirit and psyche that occurs, when night after night the actors continually deepen their own inner realization of what they are acting out through the ritual en-act-ment of the ceremonial drama they are incarnating.

When the work of art is performed, as in a play or music, something "passes between" the artist and the audience. A true collaboration, the artist and their audience enter into an intimately engaged symbiotic relationship, connecting with each other in such a way that they both become transformed. Feeding off of and into each other in a way that uplifts and inspires everyone, both the artist and the audience couldn't be creating their experience without the other, as by their mutual co-operation they create something greater than themselves. Their "art-event" deepens the artist's and their audiences' realization of how they can engage with each other so as to creatively dream up a trance-forming and transforming experience for everyone involved. The artist and their audience co-operatively create a new universe in the process.

A living work of art is something which transforms and re-invents the artist in and through the very act of creating it. This inner self-realization of the artist is both catalyzed and re-presented by the work they have created. A living receptacle and repository of the artist's experience of transformation, integration, and transcendence, the artist's realization is expressed in the work of art so as to reciprocally invest and empower the work of art with the ability to transmit a similar transformation to others. A work of art can potentially have this effect on us, to quote Jung, "…when we let a work of art act upon us as it acted upon the artist. To grasp its meaning, we must allow it to shape us as it shaped him." A truly empowered work of art becomes saturated with a numinous energy, as it is a portal through which we can glimpse and have a living experience of a deeper, more transcendental and unified world, one beyond our personal and limited ego. To quote Jung, "The essence of a work of art" is to be found "in its rising above the personal and speaking from the mind and heart of the artist to the mind and heart of mankind." The work of art becomes a living testament to, encoded with, and a carrier of this experience of transformation, as if the work of art unlocks the doorway through which this transformation becomes activated in and transferred to others in an act of living transmission. The artist's creative endeavors are timeless "art-i-facts," which act like transducers of the semantic, symbolic power encoded in the human psyche.

Art-making is distinct from all other ordinary human-made endeavors in that it is a spiritual act through which we, as artists, tap into our creative nature, alchemically re-create and transform ourselves, and potentially change the world in which we live in the process. Contagious in its effects, art can "virally" spread via the unconscious of our species in a way which liberates and unleashes a latent, creative energy lying dormant in the unconscious of humanity, which has the power to effect real change in the world. An example is the galvanizing influence that music began having in the 1960's - socially, politically, and on consciousness itself. The music of the 60's was both an expression of an expanded consciousness, while simultaneously being the vibration which precipitated and catalyzed the very expansion of consciousness of which it was an expression.

Commenting on how art can spread via the unconscious, Jung said, "Social, political, and religious conditions affect the collective unconscious in the sense that all those factors which are suppressed by the prevailing views or attitudes in the life of a society gradually accumulate in the collective unconscious and activate its contents. Certain individuals gifted with particularly strong intuition then become aware of the changes going on in it and translate these changes into communicable ideas. The new ideas spread rapidly because parallel changes have been taking place in the unconscious of other people…If the translation of the unconscious into a communicable language proves successful, it has a redeeming effect. The driving forces locked up in the unconscious are canalized into consciousness and form a new source of power." In creatively translating what is being touched inside of themselves into a communicable language, the artist taps into forms, vibrations, and realizations that exist in the formless, atemporal realm - a dimension existing "outside of time" - that are waiting to be discovered, formulated, and brought forth at the right moment "in time." These liberating thought-forms spread rapidly and have such transformative and redeeming power because they exist in latent form in the shared collective unconscious of humanity, waiting to be activated so as to offer their gifts. The liberating vision of the artist attracts us into itself so as to make itself real in time, changing the world in the process.

Demanding more than safely sitting in the audience and passively watching, however, genuine art evokes and demands our active and engaged participation, from the very core of our being. A true work of art invites us into an intimate relationship not only with the work of art, but with ourselves as well. For the purpose of art is not to entertain us, medicate us and make us feel better, but to liberate us and reveal our intrinsic freedom. Art is therefore a unique manifestation of the divine in which we are invited to participate, a life-changing act in which IT manifests through us and we, and our world, become transformed in the process.

2nd time lucky - 3 posts in 1 day...

So i can do pictures now - great! i guess inserting vdo is a similar exercise...let's have a go with something off of the ubiquitos Youtube.com...

...had to cancel that last attempt as i started to send emails to 'someone' (i think?) ?? Messages were going to someone/thing anyway - i think i created some sort of loop with 'internet explorer' icon on my desktop. Can you only embed vdo if you download to your own PC 1st??? Doesn't seem right.

Try again...

...still didn't work!!!!

Will have to visit other blogs again or use the 'Help' feature - but not tonight, Josephine, tired i am & am off to bed. Work & study tomorrow call.

Sweet dreams world!

Adios @ 1138pm NZ time.

wa-hey! 2 posts in 1 day!

So the picture thing is not as straight forward as it seems then... time to go & look @ some other blogs...OK so i've looked @ a few blogs now & they insert pictures in the midst of a 'posting' & are not restricted to the top of the page...!

Not fair - lets try again...this time i'll cut/paste it from up the top to here...a painting from Danny Gomez whose webpage is linked on the right of the page & 'Calvin & Hobbes' cartoon by ?? - a great cartoonist when @ his best...

Has it worked then????????????????????????????????????

vacuum headed i am...

Namaste!

Here's moi in the previous post, & others, moaning about being unable to insert pictures & vdo & there about 2cm above where i create this very post are the icon's for doing this very thing!

So let's try one!! Leap Of Faith by...Mark Henson...& this is the blurb that goes with it.

A soul is taking a leap into the face of life and death.
The left part of the face is skeletal in its depths; the right is full and abundant.
Because the soul has taken the leap, life ethereally embraces him.
On the left is all that reminds one of the harshness of nature
as it decomposes and sinks back into its components.
We fear the many faces of death.
On the right the decay has been transformed into new verdant life.
The Transformation is continual.
Below, a new soul is forming, taking sustenance from the life/death source.
blissfully unaware that the variety of expression will be so extreme.
Sometimes we must take a Leap of Faith,
as there is nothing else that can be done.
The rewards are great, as the second you let go of the fear,
life embraces you, and shows you her infinite bounty.

(I was trying to get this to go as a header on the blog page the other day, but it wouldn't copy. Hope it's OK to plonk here under 'fair use' ideals - i'm hardly making any $$$ from it!)

Oh! OK, it comes out @ the top of the post - not where my cursor is placed it seems!! Try it again then:

Nope 'Trust Jesus' is @ the top as well...does this mean it can only be aligned to top of page? Or do we choose the 'None' tag...?

Try again! Mati Klarwein's 'Crucifixion'.

Nope they all stack on each other, descending from from recent to oldest image uploaded...well that's a bit of a poo isn't it!!

How do i get them in the midst of the text? Maybe thry are & i can't tell till i publish??

So lets publish & be damned!!!

911 truth questions...

Namaste!

Soon to be 6 years since that fateful NY & DC day. Was it actually destiny?

Will the truth out before the cheerleaders for war drop the big one on Iran?

Or will the rapidly unwinding global casino economy trump or pump them both?

And what has 2012 got to do with it all anyway? Almost 6 years away as well.

Is it all a coincidence or a co-incidence? Synchronicity tickles doesn't it!

Will be interesting to see if the 911 anniversary has much of an impact on the MSM as far as being able to generate m/any large 'actions' that are deemed worthy enough to cover on the evening TV news or morning paper press.

Here in Aotearoa/NZ i have received an email from a 'nz911truth' person, who it seems is associated with uncensored.org -

http://uncensored.co.nz/archives/2007/08/25/911-truth-protest/

i have the 2nd half of the day off, but 11am clashes...guess i have to decide if my priorities are my studies or supporting an important 'truth movement'. I already missed class today to look after our son, as his caregiver wasn't available... Diagnosis II is difficult enough without cutting too many classes!!!

I'll keep you all, my non-existant readers out there, posted as to what i do & also what happens on the 911 day in Auckland.

As far as philerosophi is concerned, i am obviously(?) currently undergoing the tail end of the 'individuation' process according to classical Jungian psychology, as somewhat haphazardly documented over my 12(?) posts so far.

My next entry will attempt to give a concisely detailed summary of philerosophi, as much for myself as anything, as its been several years since the 1,2,3-->4/1 stuck me originally.

Initially it arose as an 'unconscious' spontaneous semi-illustrative diary entry on 17/02/05 including unity, duality - $1 coin &/or $2(yin/yang)coin - & a 'list of opposites' wordplay (eg 1/2, alone/together, light/dark, harmonius/musical, passive/active, unity/diversity, order/chaos, ratioanl/emotional - 8 pairs!), followed by the 'Om symbol' flanked with the word 'trinity' with 3x $3(a non-existant coin) birthing off the $2 coin picture, adjoined by 4 4's birthing off the 3 x $3, but with no '$' notation, followed by a crucifix mingled with the words 'all free'. Below covering the bottom 1/4 of the page was pictured an eye peering out over the edge at you...

The next day(?) i heard a radio show talking about how the human brain can only recognise 3 objects before beginning to count...i.e. it sees the trinity as a unity, until the 4th item & then begins to count.

Shortly after this that i decided to analyse it - & all this before i became consciously aware of the 4 fold individuation process, although i had read & got a lot from 2 books on/by Jung beforehand, & had just begun reading the 3rd - "Synchronicity - An Acausal Connecting Principle"!!

Trippy dippy huh!!

However, even though i could see myself going through it in my diary & mind earlier, especially with lists & lists of opposites, & trinity issue's it was all tied up in the jargon Jung used, & it wasn't until it registered as the super simple, basic numeric...

1,2,3-->4/1

...that it really 'clicked in' with me, in my own mind, reflecting my own spiritual situation & progress thereof.

So that's the next entry, a potted history of the origins of philerosophi, courtesy of trawling my diary's from the last few years...to be continued...!!!!!

i'll see if i can scan the diary entry, described above, onto this blog to more clearly illustrate.

peace!
